I love my geeky husband. He just turned me on (he does that when he manages to pull himself away from his computer) to Audible.com. They have tons of your favourite books available in mp3 format. They have best-sellers, classics, business and technology titles. And, they have new-agey, spiritual, what my husband would call “out there” stuff too. I just finished Advanced Energy Anatomy, a 9 hour lecture series by Caroline Myss, author of Sacred Contracts. It was awesome.
And if that isn’t enough, check this out! Audible.com through the TWiT network (This Week In Tech) is offering a free 14-day trial and you get to keep your audio download even if you cancel your membership. Don’t miss out. I know to the geeks among you out there this is not news. For the rest of us I wish you a happy breeze if this offer blows your skirts up like it did mine.
On the marketing side, the Audible.com offer is a pretty awesome example of a “Pink Spoon Marketing” technique (based on the book Money, Meaning and Beyond by Andrea J. Lee & Tina Forsyth.) Do you know what else is pretty awesome? Andrea and Tina live and work in Calgary and are savvy business womyn. I am always excited to share stories of smart talented womyn connecting to their inner-knowing and stepping into their power.
Oh, and just so you know, all the stuff to do with Pink Spoon has affiliate programs attached to them - go figure - so I am testing them out. If you are interested in their products and want to direct some coin in my direction for the referral go for it. If this kind of stuff offends you and you are still interested in their products please go to their sites directly.
One final comment and plug on the marketing side. I first learned about ‘Pink Spoon’ from Tad Hargrave’s YouTube marketing video. Tad’s company is Radical Business, an Edmonton based Marketing Consulting/Coaching business.
He focuses on helping “green business”, i.e. conscious folks make more money. This however is not what I find most radical about Tad. What I find most radical is Tad’s fearlessness to tap the Law of Attraction, as described in The Secret, by offering his seminars on a “Pay What You Honestly Felt It Was Worth To You Based On What You Can Afford” basis. Specifically he gives you all his knowledge and a bunch of stuff then you decide how many zeros to put on your cheque. He swears he makes a good living and I believe him. His YouTube video is just his latest example of tapping into that ‘Attraction’ flow. It is jammed packed with marketing info so go check it out for Free.
It is all about being ‘In The Flow.’
Have a happy, happy day.
